Boot full of Thanks!~~

Happy Monday y'all! I hope your weekend was as nice as mine, even with the snow we got! I am really over snow, 6 years in the forest did me in for snow. But this was not to bad and super pretty, especially as it melted down and away!

Friday I got a wonderful gift from a friend! She and her hubby had purchased tickets to see The Texas Tenors HERE , and were unable to use them. Wow is all I can say. These are some awesome singers, truly. I am not usually the kind to like this type of music, but I am so glad I went because I was exposed to something fantastic! What a neat group of guys who can really belt it out. I heard everything from John Denver, to Rascal Flats to Pavarotti!

I made this card for my wonderful friend and her hubby who shared the wonderful tickets with me. I took another gal pal and we had a blast!

I used a lot of old SU stuff for this baby. The background stamp is Weathered. The boot is from Yeehaw, the flowers are from Flower Filled, all retired many moons ago. The greeting however, is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, a must have.

The card stock is Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Pear Pizazz. I used Chocolate Chip ink, as well as Pear Pizazz, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist and Melon Mambo. I used Dimensionals to pop up the boot ans the circle greeting.

Hope your week is fantastic~!!

Quick Sunday Post~~

After spending so much time yesterday making my craft room look so perty and clean, it was calling me to come play!

I whipped up this fun and easy card using the Occasions Mini level two hostess set, A Slice of Life. I also used a sketch from SCS, # SC05.

I used regular colored pencils for the image and the greeting is another fab find in the $1 spot at M's. I always dig through there when I am in and pick up one or two to add to my collection. I never feel "guilty" about buying word stamps from outside sources.....they are nice fillers! Especially at $1~! However I do reserve my stamping cash for SU brand ink, card stock, stamp sets (the value and quality is top!) and punches.

Anyway, the DSP here is for the Ice Cream Parlor DSP set only available in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Need one? March 31st is the last day to order and receive FREE goodies! Email me (address in the side bar) and I will happily put one in the mail to you~

"This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!"

Happy Sunday

Before and After #4~~

As I write this, there are ten "male type people" in my living room! My DH is having a guys night out sleepover...at my house...all night...and if you have been to my house you know, its not that big. So, I anticipate lots and lots of coffee in the morning! Lots.

Before~~

This little beauty is stamps by PTI. "Warm Happiness", nice huh? I used Riding Hood Red ink and cs, some So Saffron DSP, Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip CS.

I used SU's scallop edge on the RHR piece, and the little circles are part of the stamp set.

After~~

Here I switched to Real Red and Going Grey CS. Basic Black and Whisper White CS. The DSP is, once again, PTI.

Same card, totally different colors! You like?

Hugs and who knows what we will do next week!

Before and After #3~~

BEFORE~~

I love this card, and I addore this stamp set by PTI. SU has one very similar which I also bought, and use often. The PTI one is called Life, and the SU is called Watercolor Tio.
This one has a Crumb Cake base with Real Red behind the focal point. The inks are Real Red, Old Olive and Lavender Lace.
The ribbon is PTI, the button is nothgin special andthe twine came from my LCS.
I used a Fiskars nborder punch on the red and finished it off with a greeting froma tiny set by Stampendous~~
I think the purple and red with the neutral Crum Cake are striking!

AFTER~~

So very little stamping here! I relied on some DSP bu PTI, and some great punches to do the work for me~!

SU's scallop circle and circle punches create the pop and dimension on the corner. The gingham brad is one I had ni my "stash" from forever ago, never opened (*wink). I always say, "the secret to ahappy stamper is haveing everything you need on hand to complete a project"! If I find somethign cool and I have the funds, I get it. I will figure out later what to do with it! I have probably had these brads for 4 years!

One more for tomorrow!

See ya then~~~

Before and After #2~~

BEFORE~~

So here is the original!

This baby started with Baja Breeze....then I added some Night of Navy behind the DSP you see. No clue where the DSP came form, it's one of those I have had for like 100 years!

The SS is from The Paper Company, but I no loner have the packaging for it so I don't know the name. The ribbon is from PTI---love the Saddle Stitched Ribbon!

Very basic and straight forward stamping here.

The lady I made the cards for wanted them to be in red, black and white. So below is the

After~~

Real Red CS base, paired with black and some ancient DSP. Silver brads and some awesome SU ribbon....ta-da!

I am enjoying Before and After week!

Stop in again Thursday for another edition!

Before and After #1~~

Here is the original!

I used Pear Pizazz CS with Garden Gala DSP, Marina Mist 5/8 inch ribbon and
Chocolate Chip CS for the scalloped oval.

I used the Oval All SS and Marina Mist ink on the greeting. I added a few tiny rhinestones to the center of the flower image to give it some Bling! I use Stampin' Up! punches A LOT.......

Inside I added a white panel with a strip of another Garden Gala DSp co-ordinating DSP to finish it off and make writing inside easier.

You have seen an almost identical card on my blog before......

Here is the After~~

Black CS base with some DSP from Paper Trey Ink. The ribbon is SU form last year. I used Whisper White ink on Real Red CS for the greeting.

Inside is another white panel with some Real Red CS that I punched along the edge with SU's scallop edge punch.

It is kind of fun to make the same card but different! I challenge you to do the same! Maybe even copy this card with your own choice of color and greeting. Then you can email it to me! I would love to see what you create, no matter when it is!

My email is in the side bar~~~

I hope you have a lovely Tuesday......stop back every day the rest of the week for more Before and After~~!!

Before and After Week~~

No project today! I just popped in to say I am working all day instead of half day today, so I am not posting a stamped project. However I have 4 cards to show that I have re-done in different colors. It was kind of a fun project that I needed to do for a customer who decided she wanted her cards to be red, black and white.

So I took the cards I had done and made them again in those colors!

Stay tuned for Before and After Week starting Tuesday!

Go stamp something~~

Newly Weds~~

I recently went to a wedding in San Diego for a sweet girls whom I have known since birth. Her mom and I have been friends for, like, 100 years! Naturally special occasions call for special cards!

This one is simple and elegant (IMHO). I used SU's Vintage Wallpaper Sizzix folder. I left just a tiny amount of black showing from behind to frame it in without adding to much black. I finished it off with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes (there it is again) and the Modern Label punch. The ribbon I grabbed out of the $1 bin somewhere years ago.

Easy Peasy........never mind!

Be sure you are taking advantage of Sale A Bration! It's the most wonderful time of the year! Club girls.......another chance to order this month if you want. Check your emails!

Hugs~~

Love Tweets~~

This post will tell me if"certain" people read my blog!

This Valentine was simple and fun. I pulled out an old SU background stamp because the plain red CS was bugging me. Background stamps just add something without adding much. It takes the flat cs and gives it some pop! I should consider getting some that are current.

This one has swirls and hearts! I used Real Red ink on Real Red CS. The scallop circle punch is the 3" Marvy one (it's purple). I used the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart punch by SU for the birdies tweets. I thought it needed something else so I placed a silver brad in the center of the top of the cage!

You can probably tell the greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the punch is SU's Modern Label punch. Club girls know, if you don't own Teeny Tiny Wishes, you NEED to. It shows up A LOT. It is just such a wonderful set with every greeting you can think of for every occasion!

Be sweet to your sweetie today! Love is precious, handle with care! We love Him because He first loved us!

Sameless CASe~~

Before stamp club I was blog surfing and looking for ideas. I came across a wonderful candy bar wrapper and instantly knew I could easily re-create it. The trouble is, now I can't find it again to give the author proper credit, so if you know, please help me out! I am not a thief! (well, not with out giving credit anyway!)

I saw her project, and then came up with the directions myself, as they were not listed. This fun candy bar wrapper is Uber-Easy to make!

One sheet of card stock will make two wrappers beautifully.

Take a sheet of 8.5X11 cs. Cut into two pieces that are 3.5X11. You will have a 1.5 inch piece left over. Cut that into 2 pieces that are 3.5 long and discard whats left.

Score the 3.5X11 long pieces at 5 inches. Apply 1/4 inch Sticky Tape on the two 5 inch sides and fold over and press firmly. Now you have 2 wrapper bases.

Cut a piece of DSP (mine is from The Paper Studio) 3X4 inches and apply to the front as shown. Now take the 3.5X1.5 strips and edge punch them with your favorite edger (mine is SU's Eyelet Lace punch). Adhere that strip to the top edge as shown. The rest is decoration and ribbon, however you like! I used the Eat Chocolate set in the new Occasions Mini with a couple of punches and some Early Espresso ribbon. Ta-Da! Just insert candy bar and enjoy!

I still have a couple Valentines projects to show you, so with any luck I will posts again today and tomorrow morning, so please check back!

Robot Love~~

My cute little nephews are going to be getting these little guys in the mail any day now! I was at my LCS and saw these cute clear stamps called "Blips and Bleeps" by TPC Studio and I thought they wold be perfect for the little boys in my life, including my grandson, who will be a YEAR OLD in a few weeks! Where does the time go?

Anyway, I used SC13 from Splitcoaststampers to create this top card. Real Red CS and ink, Basic Gray CS and ink, with some basic black and white. I used just a touch of pink as they are boys ya know! The cute brads I picked up at M's a long while back and I use them a lot on guy cards. I popped the tiny heart up with a tiny piece of Dimensional that I cut off.

This card uses SC240 from Splitcoaststampers. Here I added the white words on the black CS with Whisper White Craft ink by SU. The tiny red rhinestones add a little bling to the robots eyes and ta-da!

Shades of Pink~~

I looked for almost 30 minutes yesterday through the CAS blog sketches for this sketch, with no luck! It was probably the one right after I gave up too....
Anyway, this card and yesterday's card were made with the same sketch. I just did completely different things with them! That's what I love about sketches!
The card base is Pirouette Pink. The little square of DSP is from Bella something by SU from a couple years ago when Pirouette Pink first came out as an In Color. I used the Heart to Heart punch, a couple buttons and the greeting form Teeny Tiny Wishes (a must have). The ribbon is SU 5/8 inch Real Red.
Pretty simple, that's what keeps us stampin'!
Tomorrows cards are adorable! I got some new clear stamps at my LCS, and I made two adorable Valentines for my Nephews! Come back and check em out!
If your Valentine cards have far to go, today is the day to get them in the mail! Let the ones you love know you love them, on Valentines Day and always!

I Love You~~

This card as well as tomorrows, are from the same sketch over at the CAS blog! I am having a hard time finding the sketch number right now but I will look!

I started with white CS and added a layer of Real Red that is 1/8 of an inch smaller that the standard sized white card base. I used my SU 1 1/4 inch square punch to create the window. I then stamped the image, from "You and Moi", through the window onto the white with Real Red ink. I added the sentiment in black ink. Then I framed the window using my black SU marker. The Real Red CS is up on Dimensionals for some pop.

Lastly I tied the gingham ribbon around the card and added the charm (from my LCS) with embroidery floss. Quick and easy!

Valentine Week~~

It's the week before Valentines Day! Are you ready? I am not!

I made these cute little 3x3 cards to tuck inside small gifts for co-workers. They are also great for lunch box treats and other times you may want to say "I love you" this week! On the counter by the coffee pot in the morning, on the pillow, in your teens car.......

The DSP on the card on the back left is Paper Studio. The front card is from a SU set called "You and Moi". And now I see that the back card is barley visible, but it is a Cuttlebug small folder with a butterfly and hearts! I will take another of that soon.......

I plan a post a day this week and I have 5 cute things to show you!

Very Best Friend~~

I love the CAS blog! I have always wanted to upload my card and blog to it, but never have. So today's the day!

I am being brave and venturing out! What do you think?

I used THIS sketch to create today!

The DSP is from Sale A Bration couple years ago. I think this sketch lends its self nicely to SU's DSP, as it is easy to put colors together! Also, it is a great sketch for using up scraps!

Again the greeting is from the dollar bin and M's.

Next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be LOVE week! All Valentine projects! I may even post every day and add a couple others as well! We will see!

Why not choose a random friend to text and send a "hug" to through your phone! Then follow up with a homemade card.....it is sure to bring a smile!

Weigh In Wednesday~~

Meet Riley. He is an adorable little moose, and he has many many images to choose from!

My beautiful daughter gave me 3 Riley Moose stamps some time ago, and this one gets the most use. It seems as if almost everyone is trying to shed a few pounds! I have used him for encouragement over and over!

You can read him two ways. Either he is thinking "If I keep dieting a little longer I can have that cup cake soon!" or "If I hadn't had the cupcake, I might like this scale a little better this morning!"

I colored him in with pencils, but what you can't see is the Crystal Effects on the top of the scale. It makes it look like glass there! Kind of a fun effect~~~I also added a tiny red rhinestone to the top of the cup cake for some pop!

The next few posts will be Valentine themed stuff. Stay tuned!

Do something special for a loved one today!
