Simple leaves~~

I enjoy browsing the Clean and Simple Blog! There is always something fresh and simple there. I can whip up a card in a matter of minutes with their fab layouts.

For this cutie I use SU's Old Olive DSP for the wide strip and the leaves, which I cut with the Little Leaves Sizzix die. I used the scallop circle from SU for the Olive and the 1 1/2 inch circle from Marvy in the white. I popped it up with Dimensionals and added the greeting from Watercolor Trio. Easy Peasy! A lovely no fuss card. We all have time for that!

Hope your weekend is calmer than mine-----so much to do!

From the heart~~

I find my stamping time far to short these days! I am so thankful to have a job, but it really cuts into my stamping time! Simple layouts can really help a girl out when she is short on time.

This simple card was created using Watercolor Trio SS, SU markers in Orchid Opulence, Saffron and Olive. I used Olive ink on the stems to the left with out flowers and Orchid ink on the greeting. The punches are all SU and the ribbon behind the image is from my LCS. That's it! Imagine the color possibilities......I see this in blue and yellow sometime soon!

I hope your weekend was good and that you hug your family! Maybe today is a good day for Popsicles!

Wonderful Watercolors~~

I am loving this set! I have a very similar set from another company that I felt sad not using much here on the blog, so when SU came out with this terrific one, I was thrilled! I know, I know. They are just stamps, but they make me happy!

I used Versa Mark ink to create the watermarks on the Kraft CS. The ribbon is from my local craft store, and the CS is SU's Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. I colored directly on the stamp with the markers to match the CS (plus So Saffron in the center) to get the color variation there. I love the way it turned out! I must admit, I saw a card almost just like this yesterday, but honestly have no idea who to give the credit to! Sorry~~~~~

Hope your day is a happy one! Count your blessings~~~

Little Flower Circles

So every morning I jump on Facebook, and then right to my Stamping Blog subscriptions. I know, I know. But that's how I wake up! After I have had my coffee (several cups) and my inspiration, THEN I can think about life, read my Bible, prepare for the day. But communication is a huge part of my life, so I start with Facebook and card ideas.!

So at 7:15 I happened my way to http://www.stampinpretty.com/ to see what Mary Fish might have inspired us with. If you visit her blog, you can see I CASEd her completely! I knew this was a card I cold do and quickly so ta-da!

I used SU's Old Olive ink and striped ribbon.Little Flowers SS. I made this one 4x4 and the inside square is 3x3, which I scored 1/2" on all four sides with my Scor-Pal. I punched those circles out with the 1/2 circle punch by SU and popped them up with Dimensionals! Last was the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes punched out with the Modern Label punch. Done! Easy Peasy Lemon..................never mind.

Do some stampin' today! You know you want to!

Sentimental Journey~

So I'm in this swap. And the stamp set chosen (not my choice) was Sentimental Journey. I do not love this set. I would not buy this set. It is great for scrapbookers, but I am not one. So I have been staring at this set for a MONTH trying to figure out a card. I have checked SCS over and over. Nothing there I much care for. So today, I hop over to the clean_and_simple blog, and POOF! It comes to me! What do you think?

I used SU inks, Night of Navy, Bravo Burgendy, Old Olive and So Saffron. Not a lot of fan fare here, which is what draws me to the Clean and Simple style anyway, but I am finally happy! Now I just have to create ONE MORE with this set for the swap.....................ugh!

When did you last encourage someone through the mail? Do it today, you'll be glad you did!
