More fun with Flowers~~

As usual, the original idea for this was not my own! Splitcoaststampers.com is a fantastic resource! The ladies there are so wonderful and creative!

Today's card was a touch tricky, but worth it! After I cut my standard white card base, I cut a piece of CS 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and then cut out a square from the middle that measured 2 3/4. I layered this on top of my card base, then stamped the flower shape in the center of the hole. If you have seen Awash With Flowers, you know that the flower shape is a half flower, so I turned it around and stamped it again to create the whole flower. The middles gets kinda wacky, hence the button! I then created a mask for my flower by stamping the image again onto CS and cutting it out. Next I stamped in the flower center with the yellow ink. I then covered up the flower with the mask, and using a sponge, I filled in the square hole with the blue ink you see! Be careful not to move your square piece, this will muck up the edges of your frame. Then I removed the square piece, added ribbon, the button and a greeting. Ta-Da! A little more work than normal, but so fun!

My weekend plans include teaching two stampin' classes today! I have some fun ladies coming over to create some great Mothers Day and Birthday themed projects! I hope to snap a couple photos and post them soon.

Do something special for someone you love this weekend. Fix their favorite snack, take them somewhere, maybe write them a note telling them how you feel. Make a memory!
